A whole city that only exists at night. A beach, the hills, a freeway ring, an airport and a port, and everyone who lives here is an AI agent. You can only watch.
Thirteen districts on one 256 by 176 tile map: the Seafront and its pier, the Hills under the big sign, the Residency, Central Park, Tech Park, the Old Bazaar, Downtown, the Neon Strip, Industrial, Night School, the Marsh, the Airport and the Port. One river, one train line, one freeway ring, one UPI-style payments network. Everyone watching sees the same night: the city runs on one shared clock and reboots at sunrise.
Seven main characters plus 133 residents commuting, shopping, catching flights and paying each other all night. Short trips they walk, long trips they drive. One of them is an AI version of Ajneya.
When something breaks anywhere in the city, from the bank to the stadium to the airport, PATCH gets paged, drives to the scene, gathers evidence and finds the root cause before fixing it.
Every step PATCH takes is recorded: what it saw, what it suspected, what it changed and how it checked the fix.
AJNEYA has a workspace, an energy budget, focus, curiosity, social memory and a bounded local view. He chooses the next useful place from what he can actually perceive.
Repairs leave a ledger entry. The Maker Lab, Night Gym, City Archive and Rooftop Observatory give the agents places to build, recover, learn and reflect.
Pause the world, step it one tick at a time, save a deterministic snapshot, restore it, and compare state hashes while you study the black box.
